How ranking works

BodyWerx ranks therapists by reviews, distance and availability. Never by who paid. No plan, subscription or fee moves a listing up.

Best match

Search results are sorted by Best match unless you choose another order. It weighs:

• Reviews (55%). A therapist's average rating, adjusted for how many reviews it rests on, so one five-star review doesn't outrank forty great ones. Someone new starts at the site average, not at the bottom.
• Distance (30%). Closer is better when you've shared a location.
• Availability (15%). How soon their next open booking slot is.

Without a location, reviews count for 75% and availability for 25%.

Other orders

You can also sort by top rated, price or nearest. The home page rows use the same signals: available today, top rated, and therapists new to BodyWerx.

What we never do

Paid plans give therapists tools such as more photos and a booking calendar. They never change where a listing appears. We test this automatically every time we change the code.
